Cool PC!

August 28, 2008

Don’t you dream to have your computer an ultimate PC quality, reliability and a high-end performance? Of course yes! but thinking of having a bay toaster to your personal pc to keep away you standing in the middle of loaded work or busy chatting or playing your online games in front of your pc just to make heat your burger or pizza. Hmmm.. Possible??? Yeah you’ve seen the picture correctly.

It’s the new CrazyPC 5.25 Inch Bay Toaster. You’ll just insert your favorite burger or slice of bread directly into the drive bay and it fits a standard 5.25.  It’s easy to install and includes Windows based software interface which controls the temperature and how long the toast is in for. This is a Windows version but they are currently working on a Mac OS version too that will hopefully be coming soon. To get this to work it requires an available USB port as well as a 4 pin Molex power connector.  You will also need a free PCI slot.  It does have a crumb tray like every other toaster and includes a 2 year warranty. KEwl! It hopefully won’t cause your PC any overheating issues since it has a vent that exhausts the hot air out the back of the case.  To pick one up it will cost you $29.99 from Crazy PC.

Useful Information of your CELLPHONES

August 26, 2008

There are few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it.

1) EMERGENCY

The Emergency Number worldwide for mobile is 112.
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.
**Try it out**

2) Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote keys?

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone. If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.

Save someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other “remote” for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

3) Hidden battery power

Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don’t have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell will restart and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserved battery will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

4) How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: *#06#. A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either.

5) Be careful while using your mobile phone

When you try to call someone through mobile phone, don’t put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers. Because directly after dialing, the mobile phone would use it’s maximum signaling power, which is: 2 watts = 33dbi, Save your brain. Please use left ear while using cell (mobile), because if you use the right one it will affect brain directly. This is a true fact from Apollo medical team.

Spread this useful information around. ;)

Ginebra wins!!!

August 21, 2008

Ginebra Gin Kings team proved once again their “never say die spirit” as they beat Air21 Express with a score of 97-84 in a classic Game 7 last night. It’s been a tough finals for them as most of their players suffered a lot of injuries (mainly from their stars) like Jay Jay Healtherbrand, the Best Player of the Conference who wasn’t been able to play since game 3 due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Game 2 and the semi-injured Mark Caguioa (their MVP) who tried his best to play and make his score. The team also went through a lot of import changes, but as the season progresses they finally found the right mix with the “Big Man” Chris Alexander  who can score and defend (blocks) as well while the other players showed that with the absence of their star players, they refused to give up and gave their best game to win the championship.

On the other hand, Air21 has already cemented its place among the elite in the Philippine Basketball Association. Air21 has shown, at least in this series, that it can win in an offense-oriented game and can triumph with both teams choking each other to death.

But still Kings remain Kings, and a huge hurray for the Brgy. Ginebra team!

Actually, I’m not really fond of watching PBA, it’s just that our tv always tuned either PBA or NBA because my husband really love basketball. We even planned to watch the finals live in Araneta but wasn’t able to because im pregnant and a crowded audience was sure to be there so just keeping safe maybe next time when we have our junior . :D

WATER…… It has been scientifically proven that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli bacteria found in feces, in other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop!
However, we do not run that risk when drinking wine (or rum, whiskey, vodka, beer or other liquors) because alcohol has to go through a distillation process of boiling, filtering and fermenting.

WATER = Poop
WINE = HEALTH

Free yourself of Poop, drink WINE!!! It is better to drink wine and talk shit than to drink water and be full of shit.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information, I am doing it as a public service. Have a nice day…

boy or girl?

August 13, 2008

i’m at my 13 weeks (3 mos & 1 week) preggy with my first baby and can’t wait to find out  whether i’m having a baby boy or girl. I need to wait 2 more months so I can have ultrasound with my OB. but to have a bit idea I researched some alternative but definitely not accurate ways to determine if it’s going to be a boy or girl.

Here are some cool ways:

*  Chinese Lunar Calendar

______________________________________
 EXPLANATION

You can choose for yourself whether you want a boy or a girl by following the chart. The woman’s age from 18 to 45 (Chinese reckoning) is on the top line while the months 1 to 12 indicate the month when the baby is conceived. By following the chart you will be able to tell in advance whether your baby will be a boy or a girl. Thus, you can plan to have a boy or a girl. This chart has been taken from a Royal tomb near Peking, China. The original copy is kept in the Institute of Science of Peking. The accuracy of the chart has been proved by thousands of People and is believed to be 99 percent accurate. By reckoning, you follow a line drawn from the figure representing the woman’s age to a line drawn from the month the baby is conceived. For instance, if the woman is 27 years old and her baby is conceived in January (according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar), then her baby will be a girl. The chart is based on the month the baby is conceived and not on the birth of the baby, B-Male, G-Female. Remarks: A Chinese Scientist discovered and drew this chart which was buried in a Royal tomb about 700 years ago.

Result: a baby boy :) …my baby conceived last May that was when I get married and I’m 23 yrs old.

* the wedding ring pendulum

One of the more common myths is the wedding ring on the chain or piece of string. Side to side equals girl, and round and round equals boy.

Result: I really can’t tell, sometimes it goes side to side, sometimes round  and round..sigh!

* drain cleaner

For this test, we’ll be requiring a urine sample and a teaspoon of drain cleaner.

When the two are combined, the myth says green equals girl, blue equals boy.

* the heart rate

Now, to do something a little more scientific — they say if your heart rate is over 140 you’re going to have a boy, if it’s under 140 you’re going to have a girl.

Haven’t tried the last two. Actually, my husband and I wanted to have first a baby boy but whatever God will gave us I will definitely be happy and blessed. I’ll just be patient to wait few more months ;)
